Terms Used In Idaho Code > Title 30 > Chapter 21 > Part 4 - Registered Agent of Entity
- Act: means the Idaho uniform business organizations code. See Idaho Code 30-21-102
- Adaptive equipment: means any piece of equipment or any item that is used to increase, maintain, or improve the parenting capabilities of a parent with a disability. See Idaho Code 16-1501
- Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths.
- Annual report: means the report required by section 30-21-213, Idaho Code. See Idaho Code 30-21-102
- Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
- Clerk of court: An officer appointed by the court to work with the chief judge in overseeing the court's administration, especially to assist in managing the flow of cases through the court and to maintain court records.
- Commercial registered agent: means a person listed under section 30-21-405, Idaho Code. See Idaho Code 30-21-102
- Deposition: An oral statement made before an officer authorized by law to administer oaths. Such statements are often taken to examine potential witnesses, to obtain discovery, or to be used later in trial.
- Disability: means , with respect to an individual, any mental or physical impairment which substantially limits one (1) or more major life activities of the individual including, but not limited to, self-care, manual tasks, walking, seeing, hearing, speaking, learning or working or a record of such an impairment, or being regarded as having such an impairment. See Idaho Code 16-1501
- Docket: A log containing brief entries of court proceedings.
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
- Filing entity: means an entity whose formation requires the filing of a public organic record. See Idaho Code 30-21-102
- Fraud: Intentional deception resulting in injury to another.
- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.

Idaho Code 30-21-102Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases. Jurisdiction of formation: means the jurisdiction whose law includes the organic law of an entity. See Idaho Code 30-21-102 Limited liability partnership: means a domestic limited liability partnership registered under or subject to chapter 23, title 30, Idaho Code, or a foreign limited liability partnership. Idaho Code 30-21-102Nonfiling entity: means an entity whose foundation does not require the filing of a public organic record. See Idaho Code 30-21-102 Nonregistered foreign entity: means a foreign entity that is not registered to do business in this state pursuant to a statement of registration filed by the secretary of state. See Idaho Code 30-21-102 Obligation: An order placed, contract awarded, service received, or similar transaction during a given period that will require payments during the same or a future period. Oversight: Committee review of the activities of a Federal agency or program. Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses. Person: means an individual, business corporation, nonprofit corporation, partnership, limited partnership, limited liability company, general cooperative association, limited cooperative association, unincorporated nonprofit association, statutory trust, business trust, common-law business trust, estate trust, association, joint venture, public corporation, government or governmental subdivision, agency, or instrumentality, or any other legal or commercial entity. Idaho Code 73-114Plaintiff: The person who files the complaint in a civil lawsuit. Principal office: means the principal executive office of an entity, whether or not the office is located in this state. See Idaho Code 30-21-102 Proceeding: includes a civil action, arbitration, mediation, administrative proceeding, criminal prosecution and investigatory action. See Idaho Code 30-21-102 Public organic record: means the record, the filing of which by the secretary of state is required to form an entity, and any amendment to or restatement of that record. Idaho Code 30-21-102Unincorporated nonprofit association: means a domestic unincorporated nonprofit association formed under or subject to chapter 27, title 30, Idaho Code, or a nonprofit association formed under or subject to the law of a jurisdiction other than this state that would be an unincorporated nonprofit association if formed under or subject to the law of this state.
