- Act: means the Idaho uniform business organizations code. See Idaho Code 30-21-102
- Adjudicatory hearing: means a hearing to determine:
Idaho Code 16-1602Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths. Annual report: means the report required by section 30-21-213, Idaho Code. See Idaho Code 30-21-102 Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant. Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account. Authorized agency: means the department, a local agency, a person, an organization, corporation, benevolent society or association licensed or approved by the department or the court to receive children for control, care, maintenance or placement. See Idaho Code 16-1602 Court: means district court or magistrate division thereof or, if the context requires, a magistrate or judge thereof. See Idaho Code 16-1602 Custodian: means a person, other than a parent or legal guardian, to whom legal or joint legal custody of the child has been given by court order. See Idaho Code 16-1602 Department: means the department of health and welfare and its authorized representatives. See Idaho Code 16-1602 Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other. Filing entity: means an entity whose formation requires the filing of a public organic record. See Idaho Code 30-21-102 Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs. Guardian ad litem: means a person appointed by the court pursuant to a guardian ad litem volunteer program to act as special advocate for a child under this chapter. See Idaho Code 16-1602 Guardian ad litem program: means the program to recruit, train and coordinate volunteer persons to serve as guardians ad litem for abused, neglected or abandoned children. Idaho Code 30-21-102Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases. Legal custody: means a relationship created by court order, which vests in a custodian the following rights and responsibilities:
Idaho Code 16-1602Organic law: means the law of an entity's jurisdiction of formation governing the internal affairs of the entity.
