- Appropriation: The provision of funds, through an annual appropriations act or a permanent law, for federal agencies to make payments out of the Treasury for specified purposes. The formal federal spending process consists of two sequential steps: authorization
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- Libraries: means district, city, school/community libraries, and the commission for libraries as described in chapters 25, 26 and 27, title 33, Idaho Code. See Idaho Code 33-4803
- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
- State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories; and the words "United States" may include the District of Columbia and territories. See Idaho Code 73-114
- Technology: means all present and future forms of computer hardware, computer software and services used or required for automated data processing, computer-related office automation or telecommunications. See Idaho Code 33-4803
- Telecommunications: means all present and future forms of hardware, software or services used or required for transmitting voice, data, video or images over a distance. See Idaho Code 33-4803
