Terms Used In Idaho Code > Title 33 > Chapter 51 - Postsecondary Enrollment Options

  • Course: means a course of instruction or a program of instruction. See Idaho Code 33-5102
  • Dual credit: means credit awarded to a student on his or her secondary and postsecondary transcript for the completion of a single course. See Idaho Code 33-5102
  • Eligible institution: means a public or private postsecondary educational institution accredited by an organization recognized by the state board of education. See Idaho Code 33-5102
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
  • person: includes a corporation as well as a natural person;

  • Postsecondary credit: means credit awarded to a student on his or her postsecondary transcript for the completion of a course. See Idaho Code 33-5102
  • Secondary credit: means credit awarded to a student on his or her secondary transcript for the completion of a course. See Idaho Code 33-5102
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories; and the words "United States" may include the District of Columbia and territories. See Idaho Code 73-114
  • Transcript: A written, word-for-word record of what was said, either in a proceeding such as a trial or during some other conversation, as in a transcript of a hearing or oral deposition.
