- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- Ballot: means any material used or the voting surface of a direct recording electronic system on which votes are cast for offices, candidates and measures. See Idaho Code 34-2401
- Ballot card: means the tabulating card or cards of any size upon which the voter records his vote. See Idaho Code 34-2401
- Devise: To gift property by will.
- Election: means all state, county, city, district and other political subdivision elections including bond issue elections. See Idaho Code 34-2401
- Governing body: means the board of county commissioners of any county or the governing body of any city, district or other political subdivision elections including bond issue elections. See Idaho Code 34-2401
- Lease: A contract transferring the use of property or occupancy of land, space, structures, or equipment in consideration of a payment (e.g., rent). Source: OCC
- Measure: means a proposed law, act or part of an act of the legislative assembly or amendment to the constitution of the state of Idaho to be submitted to the people for their approval or rejection at an election. See Idaho Code 34-2401
- Model: means a mechanically operated model of a portion of the face of the machine illustrating the means of voting. See Idaho Code 34-2401
- person: includes a corporation as well as a natural person;
