The State Board of Elections shall keep a full and true public record of all of its proceedings and of all monies received and expended. The Board shall file and preserve in its principal office all orders and records pertaining to its duties. The executive director shall exercise general supervision over the operation of the business of the Board and its equipment, facilities, employees and consultants, in accordance with the rules and regulations of the Board and as otherwise directed by the Board. The assistant executive director shall administer the operations and staff of the permanent branch office of the Board.
