- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
The board of election commissioners and its appointed deputy registrars shall accept the registration of any qualified person residing in the county in which the municipality under the jurisdiction of such board is situated and shall transmit such registrations to the county clerk prior to the close of registration before an election.
