Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 110 ILCS 26/30

  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     Whenever the Attorney General has reason to believe that any institution of higher education is knowingly using, has used, or is about to use any method, act, or practice in violation of this Act, or knows or should have reason to know that agents, employees, students, student groups, alumni associations, or affiliates used or are about to use any method, act, or practice in violation of this Act, the Attorney General may bring an action in the name of the State against any institution of higher education to restrain and prevent any violation of this Act and seek penalties in amounts up to $1000 per incident.
