Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 15 ILCS 310/10b.9

  • Month: means a calendar month, and the word "year" a calendar year unless otherwise expressed; and the word "year" alone, is equivalent to the expression "year of our Lord. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.10
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     For temporary appointments for a period not to exceed 6 months out of any 12 month period to any position in the Office of the Secretary of State determined to be temporary or seasonal in nature by the Director of personnel.
