Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 20 ILCS 1108/20

  • Liabilities: The aggregate of all debts and other legal obligations of a particular person or legal entity.
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     If the FutureGen Alliance selects as its location for CO2storage a designated site or sites in the State of Illinois suitable for injection of captured CO2into the Mount Simon Formation, then the Operator shall retain all rights, title, and interest in and to and any liabilities associated with the pre-injection CO2. The Operator shall retain all rights, title, and interest, including any environmental benefits or credits, in and to and any liabilities associated with the sequestered CO2during the operations phase of the FutureGen Project, plus an additional 10-year period. Following the operations phase of the FutureGen Project, plus an additional 10-year period, and upon compliance with all applicable permits, the Operator shall transfer and convey and the State of Illinois shall accept and receive, with no payment due from the State of Illinois, all rights, title, and interest, including any future environmental benefits or credits, in and to and any liabilities associated with the sequestered CO2.
