- Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
The trial counsel shall serve or caused to be served upon the accused a copy of the charges. No person may, against the person’s objection, be brought to trial before a general court-martial case within a period of 60 days after the service of charges upon the accused, or in a special court-martial, within a period of 45 days after the service of charges upon the accused.
