Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 20 ILCS 1910/1

  • Heretofore: means any time previous to the day on which the statute takes effect; and the word "hereafter" at any time after such day. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.17
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     All of the property and powers heretofore acquired by or vested in the Illinois Coal Products Commission are transferred to the Department of Natural Resources, as successor to the Department of Mines and Minerals under the Department of Natural Resources Act. The Department may exercise such powers if it deems such action advisable; otherwise, the Department shall dispose of the property acquired pursuant to this Act in such manner as may be most advantageous to the State of Illinois.
