Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 20 ILCS 2630/2

  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
  • Statute: A law passed by a legislature.
     The Illinois State Police shall procure and file for record, as far as can be procured from any source, photographs, all plates, outline pictures, measurements, descriptions and information of all persons who have been arrested on a charge of violation of a penal statute of this State and such other information as is necessary and helpful to plan programs of crime prevention, law enforcement and criminal justice, and aid in the furtherance of those programs.
