(a) The Illinois State Police may furnish, pursuant to positive identification, records of convictions to the Department of Professional Regulation for the purpose of meeting registration or licensure requirements under the Private Detective, Private Alarm, Private Security, Fingerprint Vendor, and Locksmith Act of 2004.
(b) The Illinois State Police may furnish, pursuant to positive identification, records of convictions to policing bodies of this State for the purpose of assisting local liquor control commissioners in carrying out their duty to refuse to issue licenses to persons specified in paragraphs (4), (5) and (6) of § 6-2 of the Liquor Control Act of 1934.
(c) The Illinois State Police shall charge an application fee, based on actual costs, for the dissemination of records pursuant to this Section. Fees received for the dissemination of records pursuant to this Section shall be deposited in the State Police Services Fund. The Illinois State Police is empowered to establish this fee and to prescribe the form and manner for requesting and furnishing conviction information pursuant to this Section.
(d) Any dissemination of any information obtained pursuant to this Section to any person not specifically authorized hereby to receive or use it for the purpose for which it was disseminated shall constitute a violation of Section 7.
