Under the Illinois Statutes, punishments for crimes depend on the classification. In the case of this section:

     Any person who wilfully violates any provision of this Act or of the rules, other than Section 8b.7, shall be guilty of a Class B misdemeanor. Any person who wilfully violates any provision of Section 8b.7 or of the rules promulgated in accordance with the provisions thereof, shall be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor. Each violation shall constitute a separate and distinct offense.
