Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 20 ILCS 5/5-635
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
Each department shall be open for the transaction of public business at least from 8:30 in the morning until 5:00 in the evening of each day except Saturdays, Sundays, and days that may hereafter be declared by the Governor to be holidays for State employees.
