Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 20 ILCS 840/10

  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     The Department of Natural Resources is authorized to enter into and carry out agreements with any federal, state or local agencies, or with any other persons, and to acquire any property or interest in property and make improvements thereon, for the purpose of making portions of the Smithland Reservoir and adjacent areas suitable for outdoor recreation utilization. Upon completion of the project required by this Section, the area to be used for State Recreational Area purposes shall be designated as a State Recreational Area.
