- Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
The operation or maintenance of an alternative health care model in violation of this Act or the rules adopted under this Act is declared to be inimical to the public welfare. The Director, in addition to other remedies provided in this Act, may bring an action in the name of the People of the State, through the Attorney General, for an injunction to restrain a violation of this Act or the rules or to enjoin the future operation or maintenance of the alternative health care model.
