- Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
The operation or maintenance of a Supportive Residence in violation of this Act or its rules and regulations is declared a public nuisance inimical to the public welfare. The Director, in the name of the people of the State, through the Attorney General, or the State’s Attorney of the county in which the facility is located, may, in addition to other remedies provided in this Act, bring action for an injunction to restrain the violation or to enjoin the future operation or maintenance of any such Supportive Residence.
