A group or individual policy of accident and health insurance that is amended, delivered, issued, or renewed on or after January 1, 2024 shall provide coverage for the cost of the genetic testing of the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes to detect an increased risk for breast and ovarian cancer if recommended by a health care provider in accordance with the United States Preventive Services Task Force’s recommendations for testing.
