Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 225 ILCS 100/22
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
No license shall be issued by the Department to any corporation (i) that has a stated purpose that includes podiatry, or (ii) that practices or holds itself out as available to practice podiatry unless it is organized under the Professional Service Corporation Act.
