- Probation: A sentencing alternative to imprisonment in which the court releases convicted defendants under supervision as long as certain conditions are observed.
At any time after the successful completion of a term of probation, suspension or revocation of any license, the Department may restore the license to the licensee upon the written recommendation of the Board, unless after an investigation and hearing the Board determines that restoration is not in the public interest.
