Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 225 ILCS 130/155
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
- Venue: The geographical location in which a case is tried.
All final administrative decisions of the Department are subject to judicial review under the Administrative Review Law and its rules. The term “administrative decision” is defined as in Section 3-101 of the Code of Civil Procedure. Proceedings for judicial review shall be commenced in the circuit court of the county in which the party seeking review resides. If the party seeking review is not a resident of this State, venue shall be in Sangamon County.
