Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 225 ILCS 60/48

  • Heretofore: means any time previous to the day on which the statute takes effect; and the word "hereafter" at any time after such day. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.17
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     All licenses and certificates heretofore legally issued by authority of law in this State permitting the holder thereof to practice medicine in all of its branches, or to treat human ailments without the use of drugs and operative surgery, and which are valid and in full force and effect on the taking effect of this Act, shall have the same force and effect, and be subject to the same authority of the Department to revoke or suspend them as licenses issued under this Act.
