- Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
- Joint meeting: An occasion, often ceremonial, when the House and Senate each adopt a unanimous consent agreement
Any proposed rules, amendments, second notice materials and adopted rule or amendment materials, and policy statements concerning advanced practice registered nurses shall be presented to the Medical Board for review and comment. The recommendations of both the Board of Nursing and the Medical Board shall be presented to the Secretary for consideration in making final decisions. Whenever the Board of Nursing and the Medical Board disagree on a proposed rule or policy, the Secretary shall convene a joint meeting of the officers of each Board to discuss the resolution of any such disagreements.
