Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 240 ILCS 10/11
- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
- Personal property: All property that is not real property.
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
Every operator licensed under this Act shall, at all times, keep a sign posted in a conspicuous place over the main entrance to each warehouse, which sign shall clearly state the name of the person, firm, partnership, association or corporation operating said warehouse, and a statement that such warehouse is licensed and the number of such license; and each operator shall also display a like sign in a conspicuous place on all motor vans, trucks or other vehicles used by the operator to transport personal property to and from such warehouses.
