The procedures, actions, and remedies provided in this Article shall in no way be exclusive, but shall be available in addition to other actions and remedies of support, including, but not by way of limitation, the remedies provided in (a) the Illinois Parentage Act of 2015; (b) (blank); (b-5) the Non-Support Punishment Act; (c) (blank); (d) the Illinois Marriage and Dissolution of Marriage Act; (e) the Uniform Child-Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act; (f) the Uniform Interstate Family Support Act; and (g) the common law.
This Article does not create, enlarge, abrogate, or diminish parental rights or duties under other laws of this State, including the common law.

Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 305 ILCS 5/10-17
- Common law: The legal system that originated in England and is now in use in the United States. It is based on judicial decisions rather than legislative action.
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
