The Department, in consultation with interested stakeholders, shall establish standards for the provision of pediatric palliative care services under the medical assistance program under Article V of the Illinois Public Aid Code. The Department shall establish standards for and provide technical assistance to managed care organizations, as defined in § 5-30.1 of the Illinois Public Aid Code, to ensure the delivery of pediatric palliative care services to qualifying children.
