Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 30 ILCS 320/3

  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     When the seal of this State or any of its departments, agencies, or other instrumentalities or of any of its public corporations, political subdivisions, municipal corporations, or other governmental units is required in the execution of a public security or instrument of payment, the authorized officer may cause the seal to be printed, engraved, stamped or otherwise placed in facsimile thereon. The facsimile seal has the same legal effect as the impression of the seal.
