Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 30 ILCS 740/3-5

  • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
     Each participant receiving operating assistance shall, no later than 30 days following the end of each quarter of any Fiscal Year, file with the Department on forms provided by the Department for that purpose, a report of the actual operating deficit and actual eligible administrative expenses experienced during that quarter. The Department shall, upon receipt of the quarterly report, and upon determining that such operating deficits and eligible administrative expenses were incurred in conformity with the program of proposed expenditures approved by the Department pursuant to Section 3-8, pay to the participant such portion as may be determined under Section 3-9.
