Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 35 ILCS 130/16
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
All legal proceedings under this Act, whether civil or criminal, shall be instituted and prosecuted by the Attorney General or by the State‘s Attorney for the county in which an offense under this Act is committed, and all civil actions may be brought in the name of the Department of Revenue.
