Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 35 ILCS 200/31-40
- Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
If the real estate described in the deed is located in a civil township, the recorder or registrar of titles shall transmit a copy of the declaration to the township or multi-township assessor for that township. This Section does not apply to any county having an elected county assessor.
