Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 40 ILCS 5/13-209.5
- individual: shall include every infant member of the species homo sapiens who is born alive at any stage of development. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.36
“Licensed health care professional” means any individual who has obtained a license through the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation under the Medical Practice Act of 1987 or under the Physician Assistant Practice Act of 1987 or an advanced practice registered nurse licensed under the Nurse Practice Act.
