Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 415 ILCS 160/50

  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     The Department may apply for, accept, receive, and receipt for federal moneys for the State given by the federal government under the Federal Act for any purpose within the authority of the Department. The Department may also act as an agent for an agency or officer of the federal government for any purpose that is otherwise within the authority of the Department, and the Department may enter into agreements for that purpose with the agency or officer.
