- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
If both the State of Illinois and the State of Indiana enter into the compact under § 10-5 of the New Harmony Bridge Interstate Compact Act, then the Authority may transfer all rights, powers, and duties of the Authority to the New Harmony Bridge Bi-State Commission.
