Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 45 ILCS 77/35
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
This compact becomes effective upon the adoption of the compact into law by at least 2 of the participating states. Thereafter, the compact becomes effective for another participating state upon the enactment of the compact by the state.
