Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 510 ILCS 72/105

  • Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
  • Pleadings: Written statements of the parties in a civil case of their positions. In the federal courts, the principal pleadings are the complaint and the answer.
  • Testimony: Evidence presented orally by witnesses during trials or before grand juries.
  • Transcript: A written, word-for-word record of what was said, either in a proceeding such as a trial or during some other conversation, as in a transcript of a hearing or oral deposition.
     The Department, at its expense, shall preserve a record of all proceedings at the formal hearing of any case involving the refusal to issue or renew a certificate or the discipline of a certified euthanasia technician. The notice of hearing, complaint, and all other documents in the nature of pleadings, written motions filed in the proceedings, the transcript of testimony, the report of the hearing officer, and the order of the Department shall be the record of the proceeding.
