Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 55 ILCS 135/35

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • individual: shall include every infant member of the species homo sapiens who is born alive at any stage of development. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.36
  • United States: may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     The Board may accept contributions, capital grants, gifts, donations, services or other financial assistance from any individual, association, corporation, the United States of America and any of its agencies or instrumentalities, or any other organization having a legitimate interest in coroner training.
