- County board: means the board of county commissioners in counties not under township organization, and the board of supervisors in counties under township organization, and the board of commissioners of Cook County. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.07
Each sheriff shall obtain at least 20 hours of training, approved by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training Standards Board, relating to law enforcement and the operation of a sheriff’s office each year. Reasonable expenses incurred by the sheriff in obtaining such training shall be reimbursed by the county upon presentation by the sheriff to the county board of a certificate of completion from the person or entity conducting such training.
