Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 55 ILCS 5/5-12016
- County board: means the board of county commissioners in counties not under township organization, and the board of supervisors in counties under township organization, and the board of commissioners of Cook County. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.07

Cooperation with other counties and municipal corporations. In the exercise of powers conferred by this Division the county board of any county shall have authority to cooperate with other counties, with cities, villages or other municipal corporations either within or without such county, and with municipal or state authorities, and to appoint such committee or committees as it may think proper to effect such cooperation.
