Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 55 ILCS 5/5-24006
- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
Any guardian or other person having the custody of any such afflicted person may file an application on behalf of such person.
