The Board is authorized and empowered to do all things necessary and proper to fully cooperate with any agency of the United States in the administration of any federal act relating to abandoned and derelict vehicles or the recycling or scrapping of vehicles now in effect or hereafter enacted for the purpose of appropriation of funds for the payment to or toward the junking, salvaging, recycling or scrapping of retired and discarded vehicles.
Whenever federal funds are expended to provide for the payment to or toward the junking, salvaging, recycling or scrapping of such vehicles, the amount received as reimbursement therefor shall be paid into the fund or trust fund in the State Treasury from which such expenditure was made.
