Proof of financial responsibility when required under Section 9-101 may be given by the following methods. By filing with the Secretary of State:
1. A bond as provided in Section 9-103.
2. An insurance policy or other proof of insurance in a form to be prescribed by the Secretary as provided in Section 9-105.
3. A certificate of self insurance issued by the Director.

Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 625 ILCS 5/9-102
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
2. An insurance policy or other proof of insurance in a form to be prescribed by the Secretary as provided in Section 9-105.
3. A certificate of self insurance issued by the Director.
