- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
If any person is convicted for violating any of the provisions of this Division 1, or rules adopted pursuant thereto, any public office or place of public employment, which such person may hold shall, by force of such conviction be rendered vacant, and such person shall be incapable of holding any office or place of public employment for the period of 5 years from the date of such conviction.
