Redemption of special assessment liens may be made prior to the entry of a foreclosure judgment by payment to the county clerk of the amount of the lien as determined by order of court, together with interest thereon at the rate of 12% for each 6 months or portion thereof intervening between the time of sale and the time of redemption. Redemptions made after foreclosure judgment and sale shall be the same as provided for in Section 21-75 of the Property Tax Code.
The county clerk shall be entitled to the same fees for issuing estimates of the cost of redemption, issuing certificates of cancellation, certificates of redemption and cancelling sales of special assessment liens as he is presently entitled to by law in regard to tax sales.
