Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 705 ILCS 35/4.2

  • Chief judge: The judge who has primary responsibility for the administration of a court but also decides cases; chief judges are determined by seniority.
  • State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
     Administrative Secretaries, as provided for in Section 4.1 of this Act, shall receive travel expenses for traveling, within or without their county of residence, in the performance of their administrative duties at the direction of their Chief Judge. All expense vouchers shall be submitted to the Supreme Court for approval. Approved expenses shall be paid from the State treasury.
