Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 70 ILCS 1855/3.1
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
It is declared that the main purpose of this Act is to promote industrial, commercial, transportation and recreational activities and facilities, thereby reducing the evils attendant upon unemployment and thereby enhancing the public health, safety, morals and general welfare of this State.
