As used in this Act:
“Authority” means the Grand Avenue Railroad Relocation Authority.
“Order” means that particular Order, as amended, entered by the Illinois Commerce Commission in ICC Docket #T90-0022.
“Person” includes an individual, partnership, firm, public or private corporation, and government or unit of government.
“Railroads” means the Soo Line Railroad, C P Rail Systems, Wisconsin Central Ltd., Indiana Harbor Belt Railroad, and other railroads operating or owning trackage or right of way within the area of the Authority.
“Authority” means the Grand Avenue Railroad Relocation Authority.

- Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
- Docket: A log containing brief entries of court proceedings.
- individual: shall include every infant member of the species homo sapiens who is born alive at any stage of development. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.36
- Partnership: A voluntary contract between two or more persons to pool some or all of their assets into a business, with the agreement that there will be a proportional sharing of profits and losses.
