- Advice and consent: Under the Constitution, presidential nominations for executive and judicial posts take effect only when confirmed by the Senate, and international treaties become effective only when the Senate approves them by a two-thirds vote.
- Board: means the governing and administrative body of the Bowdre Township Metropolitan Exposition, Auditorium and Office Building Authority. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 70 ILCS 200/30-5
- State: when applied to different parts of the United States, may be construed to include the District of Columbia and the several territories, and the words "United States" may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
The Village President of Hindsboro and the Hindsboro Village Board of Trustees shall constitute the Bowdre Township Metropolitan Exposition, Auditorium and Office Building Board. However, within 30 days after the effective date of this amendatory Act of 1988, the Village President of Hindsboro, with the advice and consent of the Hindsboro Village Board of Trustees, shall appoint 2 members of the Bowdre Township Board of Trustees to serve as additional members of the Board. Before entering upon the duties of his office, each member of the Board shall take and subscribe the constitutional oath of office and file it in the office of the Secretary of State.
