Terms Used In Illinois Compiled Statutes 70 ILCS 200/5-25
- Advice and consent: Under the Constitution, presidential nominations for executive and judicial posts take effect only when confirmed by the Senate, and international treaties become effective only when the Senate approves them by a two-thirds vote.
- Board: means the governing and administrative body of the Aledo Community Center Authority. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 70 ILCS 200/5-5
- United States: may be construed to include the said district and territories. See Illinois Compiled Statutes 5 ILCS 70/1.14
The appointing officer, with the advice and consent of the Aledo City Council, may remove any member of the Board appointed by him, in case of incompetency, neglect of duty, or malfeasance in office, after service on him, by registered United States mail, return requested, of a copy of the written charges against him and an opportunity to be publicly heard in person or by counsel in his own defense upon not less than 10 days’ notice.
